MELISSA FORNABAIO is a producer/director/writer living in New York. She has produced series, shows, videos and documentaries for Travel Channel, WE tv, tru TV, FUSE, MTV, MTV2, VH1, The Oxygen Network, Fine Living Network, Current TV, Yahoomusic.com, TV Land, and more.
Specializing in music driven content, Melissa also has experience producing reality, comedy, social commentaries, corporate videos, music videos, promos, and commercials for all platforms- TV, web, mobile, and on-demand. She's executed successful integrations and branded content for sponsors such as X-Box, Kia Motors, Scion, Activision, F.Y.E., The Truth, Nokia, Adidas, Kodak, Nintendo DS, and various motion pictures, record labels, and venues. She is a well-rounded producer with experience in all aspects of production: from pre-production to post-production, working in the field, in the studio, and in the edit.
As the co-founder of Perhaps Media, Melissa has worked with Joshua Katcher to produce social documentaries for Current TV, promotional videos for Lambda Legal, GMHC, Farm Sanctuary, and music videos that have aired in the US and internationally.
In addition to television and video production, Melissa enjoys taking on Event Planning and Marketing projects, and has recently worked on fundraising events for Enforced Arch and PINNACLE, and MTV's 2010 Upfront event. During college she worked as a marketing rep for Sony Music and Noize Pollution promoting releases for artists Ozzy Osbourne, John Mayer, Bruce Springsteen, and Pearl Jam to name a few. Melissa has also booked several national tours for underground bands and multiple benefit concerts raising money for causes Save the Rainforest, Children with Cancer, Amnesty International, and The Columbine Relief Fund. She has also toured the United States and Europe performing and tour managing.
Her career in music and television has allowed her to travel to 43 of the United States, 6 of the Canadian territories, and 13 European countries. Melissa is always interested in traveling or relocating for inspiring and challenging projects.
